Perth Amboy New Jersey the town that I came to light from an Hormiguereno ups Mayaguezano he was born in mayaguez and a jibara from Ciales that has a big heart and for circumnstances that i have an idea happened I ended in the town on Hormigueros when I opened my eyes and I started to came out from ignorance.
I ran the Charles E Gregory school of Nursing from 1967 into the 1970's. That school produced wonderfully talented and dedicated nurses that served the area very well for years. I am proud of their work.
My mother, Dorothy C. Carhart, (Heckelman, Evans) attended Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing in approximately 1976-'78. She went on to become the Head Nurse of the psychiatric unit at Perth Amboy General and then Raritan Bay Medical Center. I'm wondering if there is anything in writing about her position at the hospital. I remember her mentioning helping to create the first Methadone Clinic there. I'd love to learn more about her employment there.

ReplyDeletei grew up respecting and admiring Perth Amboy General. it was the only hospital i knew in my central n.j. world.
