PAHS Student Guide 1915

How many people remember the student guide you
were given your first day as a freshman at PAHS?
It might have looked something like this.
It was about 100 pages long filled with
everything you wanted to know about PAHS.
If you were a student in PAHS almost 100 years ago
your student guide looked like this.
It was only 17 pages long.
Let's take a look at what it contained.
Official Seal
There were 21 teachers and most were teaching
two subjects.  The Principal and Vice-Principal also
taught classes.
In the late 50's PAHS had 75+ teachers.
The Perth Amboy High School Spirit.

Text Books, the Library and School Hours.
School began at 8:30 am and finished at 1:30 p.m
School was re-opened at 2:30 and an hour was
given to students who needed special attention.
In the late fifties, school opened at 8:20 am and ended
at 2:35 pm.
