Perth Amboy Banknotes

In 1836, in the United States, private banks now issued paper money
Called state banknotes, there were many problems.
They could be easily counterfeited, problems with
bank failures and circulation. 
Perth Amboy Banks issued their own banknotes

 November 1, 1862
 Pay to the bearer TEN CENTS when 
presented in sums of one dollar.
